For the past couple of years Trinfo Cafe has partnered with Organized Parents Make A Difference (OPMAD) to bring the children participating in their after school programs computer training. In the same way that we offer computer literacy workshops for adults, we also look for ways to partner with organizations that serve our youth. We have developed a variety of lessons plans ranging in theme, focus and age group.
During the summer of 2017 Trinfo Cafe partnered with OPMAD and used the theme of dinosaurs to teach 4th and 5th graders about internet research. The four week program was hosted at two schools L.W. Batchelder Elementary and E. B. Kennelly School. As the kids learned about what research is and about the history of dinosaurs their new gained skills were put to the test through a range internet research activities.
